Answer: due to hydrogen bonding in H2O

Explanation:

Hydrogen bonding take place in H2O not in the other compounds that is why it is in liquid state

Explanation:

The smaller electro negative oxygen atom is present in the water molecule as a key atom, which forms a strong inter-molecular hydrogen bond.  However, the central atom sulfur in the H2S molecule is less electro negative and is larger in size, so that the inter-molecular hydrogen bonding can not be formed.  Therefore, there can be no liquid type of H2S molecule.

Thus, the hydrogen bonding in water leads the water molecules to be linked together owing to inter-molecular attraction forces, whereas in the case of hydrogen sulphide these attraction forces are much weaker.
