jute is very strong fibre.Why then is not used to make clothes

Jute is a strong fibre, even though it is not used for making clothes because, it is to rough to wear it will also end up having rashes on your body and your body will itch.
Jute is used to make gunny bags, mats and ropes.
However, it is not used to make clothes.
