Juzuki (Pty) Ltd manufactures dynamic automotive products. Their product divisions include a variety of vehicles, bikes and marine engines. The vehicle manufacturing plants’ production lines include Sedans, 2x4’s, 4x4’s and SUV’s. The tasks in each of the production lines are carried out in a specific order, in a single flow, and are standardised. For example, a chassis, on a production line will be transformed, as the body, engine, interior, wheels, paint, etc. are added. Juzuki needs to ensure that the production line has enough production stock for the various tasks. A car should emerge from the process every 30 minutes on average. There should never be more than 40 cars in the process at any given time. The average assembly time per car is 20 minutes.
