There are two types of hydrocarbons
1. Saturated hydrocarbons
2. Unsaturated hydrocarbons
Saturated hydrocarbons have C-C single bonds.
Alkanes are included in saturated hydrocarbons.
Ex- methane CH4
Unsaturated hydrocarbons have C-C double or triple bonds.
Alkenes and Alkynes are included in unsaturated hydrocarbons.
Ex- Ethene C2H4
Ethyne C2H2
