As it is given that k+1,2k+1,13 are in A.P

Let a=k+1;b=2k+1;and c=13

It is known that in A.P 2b=a+c

:2 (2k+1)=k+1+13

4k+2=k+14

4k-k=14-2

3k=12

k=12/3

k=4

The value of k is 4
