(k - 4) ^{2}  \\ by \: identity \:(a - b) ^{2}  = a ^{2}  - 2ab + b^{2} \\ so \:  \:( k) ^{2}  - 2(k)(4) + 4^{2} \\ k ^{2}  - 8k + 16
