K. (a) Why are alkali metals kept in kerosene oil ?
(b) Why is hydrogen kept in the metal activity series?

Bcoz alkalie metals are highly reactive with air n water they can catch fire easily if they are kept in open thats why to prevent them from accidental fire they are kept in kerosene oil

Because Alkali metals are very reactive they react with oxygen, water vapour, and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to produce oxides , hydroxides and carbonates.

Because it's property of electroposivity that is losing electron to positive ion is similar to that of metals that's why we can relate with metals....
