Answer:

EAN = 88

Explanation:

EAN = Effective Atomic Number

EAN = Z - X + Y

where, Z - atomic no. of metal

           X - no. of electrons lost during ion formation

           Y - no. of electrons gained from ligands.

Here, Z = 78 (atomic number of platinum is 78)

          X = 2 ( 2 ions i.e. K^+ and [Pt(NH_3)_6]^- are produced)

          Y = 12 ( 6 NH₃ are there, each giving 2 e^- so, 6 x 2 = 12 )

⇒   EAN  = 78 - 2 + 12

               = 76 + 12

 ∴  EAN  = 88
