ACTIVIT
The courtiers look at each other in surprise.
No one says anything. There is a long period of silence.
AKBAR: Birbal, your silence surprises me!
BIRBAL: I would like the others to express their thoughts first.
AKBAR: The others are silent. You go ahead and tell me the
difference between truth and falsehood in less than three words.
BIRBAL (smilingly): Four fingers.
AKBAR (perplexed): Four fingers?
BIRBAL: That's the difference between truth and falsehood, Your Majesty. What you see with
your own eyes is the truth. What you have only heard about might not be true.
AKBAR: That is right. But what do you mean by 'four fingers'?
BIRBAL: Your Highness, the distance between one's eyes and one's ears is the width of one's
four fingers.
AKBAR: Birbal, your wisdom is unbeatable!
Underline the common nouns in the story. Circle the proper nouns.
