and  \:  \: x =  \frac{1}{2}
put X value in

the above equation....
k { \frac{1}{2} }^{2}  -  \frac{3}{2}  - 1 = 0
 \frac{k}{4}  -  \frac{3}{2}  - 1 = 0
 \frac{k}{4}  =  \frac{3}{2}  + 1
 \frac{k}{4}  =  \frac{5}{2}
k =  \frac{5 \times 4}{2}
k = 5 \times 2
k = 10
