I was 16 years old, 300 lbs, averaging D’s and C’s in High School and was most known for being weird and shy.
Two years later, age 18, in high school, I was 210 lbs, prom king, winner to the superlative for most changed and best personality.
Two more years later, I had just turned 20 in college, as a sophomore I was a Senator for our School Government, and worked for our University Athletics Front Office via cold email to the AD (athletic director).
At age 23, 9 months out of college, I now run marketing for a profitable startup in Silicon Valley and write for two publications on the side.
I am not gonna lie to you, I get my own little selfish rush every time I write about my own turn around. It’s really easy to forget how far I have come and writing reminds me on my worst days that no matter how incremental it may seem, I am improving.
