Traditional Kabaddi did not involve any equipment or things other than uniform because it was played on muddy ground. So, players would not even wear shoes. They used to only shorts and no shirts.

Now a days, Kabaddi is modernized so players wear uniform e.g. waist length shirt and shorts. But in addition they wear shoes as well. Shoes should be such that they do not obstruct running or should not be too heavy.

Moreover, they also wear personal protective equipment on joints of arms, knees etc.
