कबीरदास जी के अनुसार समस्त संसार सुखों से और आनंद से भरा हुआ है। सारे लोग खाने, पीने और सोने को ही परम सुख मानते हैं।
कवि के अनुसार प्रभु यानी परमेश्वर के पीछे भागने वाले मनुष्य सबसे ज्यादा दुखी होते हैं। परमेश्वर को पाने की इच्छा में यह लोग अपने सुख को चैन को सबकुछ डूबा देते हैं। इसलिए वह दुखी होते हैं।
