Kabuliwala was a rough man but he loved his daughter. He had fatherly affection. He used to laugh and play with Mini as it reminded him of his own daughter who was far away from him. When he returned from prison a long time had elapsed and he saw that the little girl Mini had grown up. He realized that his own daughter would also have grown up in all these days when he was in prison. He felt sad about it. So though he seemed to be a rough person he also had love in his heart for his kith and kin like any other person.

in my opinion kabuliwala is truelly a story of eternal love because kabuliwala lives the small girl so much that when he was released from jaill he first went to meet the girl.it clearly shows that he missed her all the years he was in jail.when he met the girl she was grown up and was getting married.only then kabuliwala realised that how many years have passed..and then he leaves without turning back because he does not expect anything in return.
