Answer:

d = 24/7 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi,

Given that Kaitlyn can  build a shed in 6 days,

In 1 day, kaitlyn can build 1/6 th of shed.

Given that Mark can  build a shed in 8 days,

In 1 day, kaitlyn can build 1/8 th of shed

If Kaitlyn and Mark work together,

In 1 day they can build (1/6 + 1/8) th = 7/24 th of  a shed

To finish the entire shed, they require 1/(7/24) days

= 24/7 days

If Kaitlyn takes x days to build a shed and Mark takes y days to build

the same shed, the number of days they would take working

together is given by d = xy/(x + y)

Hope, it helps !
