t = 10 min = 600 s

t' = 10:30 min = 630 s

# Solution -

Let v & v' be the velocity of sound and that of car.

At the time of first shot,

s = v × t

s = 330 × 630

s = 207900 m

At the time of second shot,

s = (v - v') t'

207900 = (330 + v') 600

v' - 330 = 207900 / 600

v' - 330 = 346.5

v' = 16.5 m/s

v' = 16.5 × 18/5

v' = 59.4 kmph

Therefore, Bala's speed is 59.4 kmph
