Let the received be as x
then 1/2 of x = 10000
= Rs.20,000 + 10,000
= Rs.30,000 was given to her daught.

therefoer in the same way......
1/3 of x = 3000
= Rs.9,000 + 3,000
= Rs.12,000
Therefore money received by Kanchan is....
Rs.30,000 + Rs.12,000
= Rs.42,000
