Let Kanchan has Rs x in the beginning

Thus,according to question----

1/2x+1/3x+20=x

3x+2x+120=6x

x=120

Thus,Kanchan had Rs.120 at the beginning

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the money Kanchan has be x.

Let the money Kanchan has be x.Kanchan spends money in shop = 1/2× x

= 1/2x

She spends the remaining money on rickshaw

=1/3(x-1/2x)

=1/3 × x/2

=x/6

Now, at the end she has Rs.20

= x-(1/2x + x/6) = 20

= x- 1/2x - x/6 = 20

= x×6 - x × 3 - x × 1/6 =20

= 6x - 3x - 1x/6 =20

= 6x - 4x/6 =20

= 2x/6 =20

= 2x =20 × 6

= 2x =120

= x = 120/2

= x = 60

Hence, she had rs.60 at the beginning.
