Given :  kangaroo jumps and lands exactly 22 feet away at a time

To find : least number of jumps required to reach a point 7 feet away

Solution:

kangaroo jumps and lands exactly 22 feet away at a time

least number of jumps required to reach a point 7 feet away  is 2

As kangaroo jumps exactly 22 feet and he has to go 7 feet away hence

in 1st jump its not possible

in 2 jump Kangaroo can can reach 7 feet

Let say A  kangaroo is at point A  and he has to go point B  at  7 feet distance

He will jump at point C which will be  at 22 ft distance from A & B

Then from C he will jump 22 feet to reach B which is at 7 feet from A .

Hence at least two jumps are required by kangaroo  to reach a point 7 feet away

2 Jumps
