kanika had a piece of cloth 1m long and 60m broad. She cut it into square shaped handkerchiefs, each side measuring 20cm and put a lace on the boundary. How much lace is needed for the handkerchiefs.

Area of the clothes 100cm×6000cm=600000 square cm.
Area of the handkerchiefs =20×20 =400 square cm. Thus 600000/400=1500 square cm would be the area of the lace.
