Answer:

Total number of bananas =12

Supposed cost of 1 banana =4 Rs

Cost of 12 bananas =12*4=48

Loss for 1 banana = 2 rupees

Loss for 12 bananas= 2*12=24

Remaining money after loss= 48-24=24 Rs

So

selling price for 12 bananas = 24 Rs

Selling price of 1 banana is =24/12=2  Rs

So net loss will be original price/selling price *100

= 48/24*100

=50%  loss

Step-by-step explanation:

He sold banana with the loss of 50%. Thus, he sold out bananas in half price.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Our question is: kannan has a fruit shop. he sells 1 dozen banana at a loss of Rs 2 each because it may get rotten next day.

Our aim is to find what is his loss? with explanation.

We know that the total number of bananas is equal to 12, and we also know that he sells it with a Rs.2 loss.

Lets suppose that the cost of each banana is Rs.4.

In order to find what is his loss in a dozen we need to multiply the loss in each banana for the total number of bananas.

Thus we know that a dozen of bananas costs 12 * 4 which is equal to 48.

In one banana he loses Rs.2, then for 12 bananas he loses 2 * 12 equal to 24.

Hence we would have that the loss for a dozen of bananas is equal to:

-- >  48 - 24 = Rs.24

We can see that the relation between this prices is:

24 : 48 = 0.5

Hence he sold banana with the loss of 50%, that is, he sold out bananas in half price.

I hope this helps your studies!
