Kanu says to Manu, if you give me 3 of your marbles. I will have double the numbers of marbles you have, but if I give you 4 marbles then both have equal number marbles. Find the numbers of marbles each have.

Let the marble Manu have =y

(x + 3) = 2 (y -3 )

x + 3 = 2y - 6

x - 2y = - 9

( x - 4) = (y +4)

x - y = 8

putting value of x from eq 1 to eq 2

( -9 + 2y) - y = 8

y = 17

putting value of y in eq 2

x - y = 8

x - 17 = 8

x = 25
