To find:

5% का लाभ लेने के लिए सेट को किस कीमत पर बेचा जाना चाहिये

Solution:

The S.P. of the cup set = Rs. 720

Loss% = 20%

∴ The C.P. of the cup set is,

= $\frac{100}{100 - L\%} \times S.P.$

= $\frac{100}{100 - 20} \times 720$

= $\frac{100}{80} \times 720$

= $Rs.\: 900$

Now, in order to make a gain of 5%,

The selling price of the cup set should be,

= $\frac{100 \:+\:G\%}{100} \times C.P.$

= $\frac{100 \:+\:5}{100} \times 900$

= $105 \times 9$

= $\bold{Rs.\: 945}$

Thus, in order to make a gain of 5%, the shopkeeper should sell the cup set for Rs. 945.
