Kapil bought 750g potatoes at Rs 20 per kg and 1L 500mL milk at Rs 29 per litre. He gave 100-rupee note to the shopkeeper. What balance did he get back?

Answer:

Rate of 750g Potato = Rs. 15

Rate of 1L 500mL milk = Rs. 43.5

Total Cost of two items = Rs. 58.5

Money given to the shopkeeper= Rs 100

Money spent on the items = Rs 58.5

= 100-58.5

= 41.5

Hence, he got Rs 41.5 back
