Kareem is replacing the carpet in his living room. He spends $22 per square yard for new carpeting, and $18.99 for a carpet pad. If 1 square yard = 9 square feet, what expression would represent the cost for Kareem to carpet f square feet?
$18.99 + $22(9f)
$18.99 – $22(9f)
$18.99 + $mc001-1.jpg
$18.99 – $mc001-2.jpg

He spends $22 per square yard = He spends $22 * 9 per square feet

We just converted square yard to square feet above

Now for 1 sq feet = $22 * 9

for f sq feet = $22 *9 *f = $22 * 9f

Total cost = $22 * (9f) + $18.99....................option 1
