Answer: The temperature on Monday is 40°,

On Tuesday is 35°,

On Thursday is  25°,

On Friday is 20°,

On Saturday is 15°

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a be the temperature on Monday,

While d is the common difference in temperature,

Thus, the AP that shows the temperature on different days from Monday to Saturday is,

a, a+d, a+2d, a+3d, a+4d, a+5d

According to the question,

(a+a+5d) - (a+d+a+5d) = 5°

⇒ 2a+5d - 2a - 6d = 5°

d = -5°

Now, again according to the question,

a+2d = -30°

⇒ a - 10° = 30°

a = 40°

Thus, the AP that shows the temperatures from Monday to Saturday is,

40°, (40°- 5°), (40°-10°), (40°-15°), (40°-20°), (40°-25°)

= 40°, 35°, 30°, 25°, 20°, 15°
