Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Asif's run rate is better than Karmegan.

● Expulsion -

Run rate of Karmegan is calculated as -

Run rate (Karmegan) = 54/9

Run rate (Karmegan) = 6 runs/over

Run rate of Asif is calculated as -

Run rate (Asif) = 77/11

Run rate (Asif) = 7 runs/over

From this, Run rate (Asif) > Run rate (Karmegan).

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..

FORMULA TO BE IMPLEMENTED

In a game of cricket run rate is calculated by the formula mentioned below :

 \displaystyle \sf{Run \:  Rate =  \frac{ Total  \: number \:  of  \: Run \:  Scored }{Total  \: number  \: of  \: overs \:  required}   \:  \: }

GIVEN

  • Karmegan made 54 runs in 9 overs

  • Asif made 77 runs in 11 overs

TO DETERMINE

The man with better run rate

CALCULATION

RUN RATE OF KARMEGAN :

Karmegan made 54 runs in 9 overs

 \displaystyle \sf{Run \:  Rate  \:Karmegan =  \frac{ Total  \: number \:  of  \: Run \:  Scored }{Total  \: number  \: of  \: overs \:  required}   \:  \: }

  = \displaystyle \sf{ \frac{54}{9} \: }

 =  \displaystyle \sf{6\: }

RUN RATE OF ASIF :

Asif made 77 runs in 11 overs

 \displaystyle \sf{Run \:  Rate  \:Asif =  \frac{ Total  \: number \:  of  \: Run \:  Scored }{Total  \: number  \: of  \: overs \:  required}   \:  \: }

  = \displaystyle \sf{ \frac{77}{11} \: }

  = \displaystyle \sf{  \: 7 \: }

 \sf{ Since \:   \:  \: 7 > 6\: }

Hence the run rate of ASIF is better than KARMEGAN
