Karan's Age = 4x

After 8 years

Karan's son's age = x+8

Karan's age = 2(x+8) = 2x+16 or 4x+4(Karan's present age +4)

Now we get 2x+16=4x+4

$2x + 16 = 4x + 4 \\ = > 16 - 4 = 4x - 2x \\ = > 12 = 2x \\ = > \frac{12}{2} = x \\ 6 = x$
