Perimeter of Circle= Perimeter of Square

2πr=4 X Side

2 X 22/7 X 21= 4 X side

44 X 21/7 X 4= Side

44 X 21/ 28= Side

33 = Side

Hope it helps you

Question

Kartik bends a circular wire of radius 21 cm into a square frame what will be the side length of the square frame.

Answer

Given: Radius of a circular wire = 21cm

To find = Side of a length of square frame.

Let the perimeter be "a".

Solution

We have,

Circumference of circle = 2πr

= 2 × 22/7 × 21

= 132cm

Hence, the perimeter of the particular square will also be 132cm.

Therefore,

Perimeter = 132

4a = 132

a = 33cm

Hence, the perimeter is 33cm

Important formulas

Circumference of a circle = 2πr

Area of a circle = πr²

Perimeter of a square = 4a

Area of a square = where a=side.
