Answer:4.54 m/sec

Explanation: avrg speed = total distance/total time

.. so frstly from home to school , distance=speed × time

i.e.→ 9=18×t => t= 1/2 hr

.. similarly from school to home ,

t'=3/5 hr

Total time travelled (T)= t + t'

T= 11/10hr = 1.1 hr

Total distance travelled is 18km (9km+9km)

So avrg speed = 18/1.1 km/hr

To convert km/hr in m/sec multiply by 5/18

So avrg speed = 18/1.1 × 5/18 = 50/11

=> 4.5454 m/sec
