The plastic bottle is very light and not denser when is empty, when this bottle is kept in cold temperature, the temperature is not suitable for empty bottle and bottle cannot withstand the refrigerator temperature, hence it breaks on such cases. The bottle which is plastic made is very light weight and has no strength for external cold temperature.
