Answer:

The number of flowers offered by him in the temple is 24

The ratio of flowers left to total flowers present initially = 3 : 5 = 3x : 5x

=> Total flowers at the beginning = 5x = 60

=> x = 12

=> flowers remained with her = 3x = 3 x 12 = 36

=> number of flowers offered at the temple = 60 - 36 = 24

Kaustubh offered 24 flowers in the temple.
