गिरिजा कुमार माथुर एक कवि, नाटककार और समालोचक थे। गिरिजा कुमार माथुर का जन्म मध्य प्रदेश के अशोक नगर में हुआ। उनके पिता देवीचरण माथुर स्कूल अध्यापक थे तथा साहित्य एवं संगीत के शौकीन थे। वे कविता भी लिखा करते थे। सितार बजाने में प्रवीण थे। माता लक्ष्मीदेवी मालवा की रहने वाली थीं और शिक्षित थीं।
