work is completed in one day. Calculate the

Answer:

2 Days

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the time taken by Kaveri to complete the work alone = X days.

∴ time taken by Kanchan to complete the work alone = X/2

& Time taken by Kalpana to complete the work alone = X/3

In one day,

Kaveri will complete the amount of work = 1/X

For kanchan = 1/(X/2) = 2/X

and for kalpana = 1/ (X/3) = 3/X

∴ Total work completed in one day by all three working togater can be written as,

Work completed in one day = 1/X + 2/X + 3/X

As per given condition, when all three are working , work gets completed in one day.

∴ we can write,

1 = 1/X + 2/X + 3/X

∴1 = (1 + 2 + 3) / X

∴ X = 6

Tiem taken by Kaveri = 6 days.

Time taken by Kalpana is 1/3rd that of Kaveri.

∴ Time taken by Kalpana alone = 6/3 = 2 Days

∴ Time taken by Kalpana alone to finish taks = 2 days
