Solution:

• Money left with him = (100 - 20)%

Money left with him = 80%

Let total money be "x"

80 of x = 4800

80/100 of x = 4800

80x/100 = 4800

80x = 4800×100

x = 4800×100/80

x = 60 × 100

x = ₹6000

Hence the amount of money he had in the beginning is Rs. 6000.
