Kavya, a student of history, found that all the ancient empires of India rose and fell with time. But that did not stop developments of arts and craft production in towns and villages. She noticed many important political, social, and economic changes but, the changes in different societies were not the same. Why so?

Answer:India has been a diversified subcontinent since times unknown. Different societies belonging to different regions had their own social means and culture. This over the time changed. For example, the Muslim states of India had their own social developments while the Hindu states had their own. Economy depends a lot on trade relations and type of agriculture. Certain regions had foreign as well as internal trade relations when many were limited to internal only. Changes were also seen in the polity and administration because the great rulers always took lessons from the mistakes made by the other rulers in the past, and because of the diversity, they had to be adopted in accordance to the specific region. Therefore, though development and changes took place in all regions but they were different.
