Step-by-step explanation:

❣ Given ❣ :-

  • Kavya changed 15 into 2 coins, 1 coins and 50 p coins.
  • The 2 coins were double the number of 1 coins.
  • The 50 p coins were 5 times the 1 coins.

❣ To find ❣ :-

  • Each denomination of the coins

❣ Solution ❣ :-

Let the number of Rs. 1 coins be X

Value of all Rs. 1 coins = 1×X = Rs. X

Given that ,

The number of Rs. 2 coins

= Double the number of Rs. 1 coins

= 2X

Value of all Rs. 2 coins = 2×2X = Rs. 4X

and

The number of 50 paisa coins

= 5 times the number of Rs. 1 coins

= 5X

Value of all 50 p coins = 50×5X = 250X p

We know that

1 Rupee = 100 Paisa

1 Paisa = 1/100 = 0.01 Rupees

Now,

250X Paisa = 250/100 = Rs. 2.50X

Total money at Kavya

= 2X + 5X + 2.50X

= Rs. 9.50X

According to the given problem,

Total amount at Kavya = Rs. 15

Therefore, 9.50X = 15

=> (950/100) X = 15

=> X = 15×(100/950)

=> X = (15×100)/950

=> X = 1500/950

=> X = 150/95

=> X = (30×5)/(19×5)

=> X = 30/19

=> X = 1.578...

=> X = 1.578 ~ 2

=> X = 2

Therefore, Number of Rs. 1 coins = 2

Number of Rs. 2 coins = 2X = 2(2) = 4

Number of 50 paisa coins = 5X = 5(2) = 10

❣ Solution ❣ :-

→ The denomination :

  • Number of Rs. 1 coins = 2
  • Number of Rs. 1 coins = 2Number of Rs. 2 coins = 4
  • Number of Rs. 1 coins = 2Number of Rs. 2 coins = 4Number of Rs. 50 p coins = 10

❣ Check ❣ :-

Number of Rs. 1 coins = 2

Value of Rs. 1 coins = 2×1 = Rs. 2

Number of Rs. 2 coins = 4

Value of Rs. 2 coins = 2×4 = Rs. 8

Number of 50 p coins = 10

Value of 50 p coins = 50 p × 10 = 500 p = Rs. 5

Total amount at Kavya = 2+8+5 = Rs. 15

Hence, Verified.
