Vikki inquired. Angelica said, "Sorry, Vikki. I would love to go, but I already said I'd volunteer at the library tonight. I'm supposed to read for story hour, and I can't let the kids down." Vikki said, "Awe, come on, Angie. No one is going to be mad if you miss one story hour. You have to come to the dance. Brad and Evan will be there. Brad asked today if you'd be there, and I told him you would." Angelica bit her lip. Brad was the boy she had a crush on. She really wanted to see him at the dance, especially since he had asked just for her. However, she knew what she needed to do. Angelica said, "Vikki, I would love to go. I just can't. I promise we'll make plans soon. I'll see you in school on Monday."
