Coal and petroleum are fossil fuels and a nonrenewable source of energy.They are said to be nonrenewable as they take thousands of years in renewing themselves. Since we have been using them for so many years they are near to exhaustion. So it is high time for us to use them judiciously and also begin using non conventional or renewable .sources of energy like tidal energy, solar energy

Peteroleum is a dark coloured viscous foul smelling liquid also called as crude oil it's name is derived from latin word 'petra' (rock) and 'oleum' (oil) which is used for :----- lubricants transportation , heating and lightening , etc.
