What can be done by you to prevent depletion of coal and petroleum?
To prevent depletion of coal, petroleum, and natural gas we need to leave it in the ground. That requires promoting a source of energy that can be expanded enough to actually replace fossil fuels as a source of energy. There is only one source of energy that can do that - fission nuclear power.
Fusion nuclear power might be able to do it, but we still don’t know how to put it on the grid or produce liquid fuels with it.
Wind and solar require more materials and land area than are available to be scaled up enough to replace fossil fuels. They have more problems, to numerous to mention here.
Fission nuclear power is plagued by bad press, bad laws, bad regulations, and association with nuclear weapons fears. Despite that, fission nuclear power has an enviable safety record and very little environmental impact. The problems are all based on fear, not on facts. If we could get enough people to understand the science that proves that low level radiation is not really a problem, we could make the laws and regulations reasonable. That would unleash the fission nuclear power industry and prevent the depletion of fossil fuels.

Coal and petroleum were formed millions of years ago from the degradation of biomass.
➧ Coal and petroleum should be used judiciously because:-
===========================
❱ These resorces are present in limited quantity
❱ It ensures the availability of coal and petroleum for a longer period of time.
❱ It avoids the pollution of air caused by combustion of coal and petroleum the alternative sources of energy could be those that are renewable and non polluting.
❱ These include fuels like solar energy, geothermal energy, Hydro power & nuclear power.
