We know that coal and petroleum are fossil fuels.If they are used once they cannot be renewed easily in short period of time,they will take millions of year to renew as they are exhaustible resources.So they should be used judiciously to ensure their availability for a longer period of time.

coal and petroleum are useful in various ways.

coal is used in cooking food ,used as coke ,charcoal,and many other useful substances

petroleum is used in petroleum jelly,etc
