This is a real life story about my aunt. Life is great as it goes on in an even pace. But as soon as unfortunate things happen, it turns everything upside down.

My aunt lost her husband to some ailment when was in her 30s. She had children in early teens then. She had opted out of her job when she married and accustomed herself to taking care of the family along with parents-in-laws. When her husband went through a lean phase while changing his carrier options, she opted to work again and started her job carrier.

She had hardly settled down in her new job that her husband was diagnosed with heart ailment and had to be operated upon, for the same. They came out of all these hurdles and hardly a year passed that she lost him to some viral infection.

She took this phase of her life too, stoically and moved on. She did her best for her children
by giving them all the opportunities to learn and be something in life. She also ensured she had a secure future in her job by giving her best efforts there too.

I had never seen her lose her poise or her strength in all this. She always had a smile for everyone. Then came a day when she got the news that her son could be found while he was in sea. He was being trained for a marine job in a foreign vessel after finishing the relevant course for the same with a gold medal!

This did shake her to the core. But she got out of it eventually and has set a decent life for herself. Her daughter is also settled well. She still has the same spirit and always has something to look forward to, so life is worth living! The smile is always there for everyone around her!
