Kelvin scale of temperature is regarded as better than the Celsius scale why?

There are various reasons

The number one advantage of the Kelvin scale over the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales is that it is thermodynamic. That means the Kelvin scale is linear with the 0 point being at absolute zero. That, in turn, means that a temperature of 2T is twice as hot as a temperature of T .

As an example , what temperature is as hot as melting point of ice at standard atmospheric pressure , which is 273.15K ( approx ) = 0°C = 32°F

now twice is 546.30K .

If we double the celcius scale , 0×2 will be 0 °

Now , it is useful in

1) ideal gas law and some related law in chemistry (e.g., doubling the temperature of a gas doubles the pressure ) . Using celcius and fahrenheit will completely give different and un applicable .

2) speed of sound through a gas is directly proportional to the square root of the thermodynamical temperature ...
