Solution :-

Ken wants to cover a floor with tiles

The dimensions of the floor is 3.6m * 3m

Now,

The tiles are 300mm wide and 600mm long

Therefore,

The dimensions of the tile is 0.3m* 0.6m

According to the question,

We have to find the number of tiles which is required to cover the floor

So,

Let the no. of tile be n

Therefore,

n = Area of floor / Area of 1 tile

n = 3.6 * 3 / 0.3 * 0.6

n = 360 * 30 / 30 * 6

n = 36 * 5 / 3

n = 12 * 5

n = 60

Hence, The no. of tiles needed to Ken to cover the floor is 60 .
