Climate in Kerala is ideally suited for rubber cultivation.  Kerala is a well drained state with rainfall of more than 250 centimetres.  Coastal temperate weather with average temperatures ranging between 25 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius.  It experience high humidity which favours rubber cultivation.  Due to this Kerala is the largest producer of rubber in the country.
