Answer:It depends on the kind of fuel oil. Fuel oils are classified from #1 to #6 which are based on viscosity. Fuel oil #6 is also called bunker C oil and is so viscous that you have to heat it before it flows. We even put a trip into the control system that if the temperature of the oil is too low we don’t allow the burner fuel oil is more viscous than water but the actual viscosity depends on the temperature.
