Answer:

Because sodium is so reactive that it results into a huge blast when come in contact with air , that's why it is kept in kerosene oil so that it can't reach to air.

THIS IS BECAUSE SODIUM IS A HIGH REACTIVE METAL AND CAUSES FIRE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE AND SO TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL FIRE IT IS KEPT IN KEROSENE OIL
