In general, ketones are less reactive than aldehydes as there are 2 electron donating R groups attached to the carbonyl carbon, making it less electrophilic than aldehyde which has only 1 R group and a small H atom attached to the carbonyl carbon. Hence, aldehydes are terminal andketone are internal to C chain.
