GIVEN :

Kevin's father's age is 5 years more than three times the Kevin's age.

Kevins father's age = 44

let the age of Kevin be x

According to the problem,

3x + 5 = 44

3x = 44 - 5

3x = 39

x = 39/3

• Let age of Kevin be M years.

» Kevin's father's age is 5 years more than three times Kevin's age

• Age of Kevin's father = 3M + 5

A.T.Q.

\implies 3M + 5 = 44

\implies 3M = 44 - 5

\implies 3M = 39

\implies M = \dfrac{39}{3}

\implies M = 13
