Answer:
Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction that does not involve the fusion of gametes or change in the number of chromosomes. The offspring that arise by asexual reproduction from either unicellular or multicellular organisms inherit the full set of genes of their single parent.
- Asexual reproduction :
The mode of reproduction in which plants can give rise to other plants without seeds.
- Budding :
The small bulb like projection coming out form the yeast cell is known as Bud. The new yeast cell grows, matures and produces more cells. This process is called Budding.
- Embryo
The development of zygote is called Embryo.
- Fertilisation
The fusion of male and female gametes to form a zygote is called Fertilisation.
- Fragmentation
When an alga breaks up into two or more fragments, these fragments grow into new individuals. This process is known as Fragmentation.
- Gametes
Gametes are known as sex cells. There are two types of cells like Male Gametes and Female gametes. Male gametes contain Pollen grains and Female gamete contains eggs.
- Ovule
The part in the Pistil (female reproductive part) in which one or more ovules and where egg is formed is called Ovule.
- Pollen grain
The Male gametes are called Pollen Grains.
- Pollen tube
The tube present in the Male reproductive part of flower which produces and carries Pollen Grains is called Pollen Tube.
- Pollination
The transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma is called Pollination.
- Seed dispersal
The process by which seeds and fruits of plants are carried away by Water, Wind and Sunlight is known as Seed Dispersal.
- Sexual reproduction
The mode of reproduction in which fusion of male and female gametes are involved.
- Spore
Spores are asexual productive bodies. They have hard protective coat to withstand unfavourable conditions.
- Sporangium
Spores are tiny, thick-walled resistant asexual reproductive bodies and they are produced under unfavorable conditions and they develop a structure called sporangium. The plural form of sporangium is sporangia.
- Vegetative propagation
The type of Reproduction in which plants are formed from roots, stems, leaves and buds are called Vegetative propagation.
- Zygotes
The cells which results after fusion of the gametes is called Zygotes.
